ROB IS RIGHT

TWERK TILL IT HURTS

WHAT A WHOLESOME AND UPLIFTING HALFTIME SHOW………

that was last night. I was really touched. Nothing says “Mom, Apple Pie and the Girl Next Door” more than scantily dressed women gyrating their pelvises in front a worldwide TV audience. I was moved to tears. I don’t think I have witnessed anything as touching, indeed as beautiful, since Captain Von Trapp sang Edelweiss in the Sound of Music. The mellifluous harmony of the melodic and lyrical blended into a spiritual sensation I have not experienced since the first time I heard Handel’s Messiah. It makes me a bit sad that when my daughters were “pre-teens,” they never got to experience such and an august and venerable illustration of American culture as witnessed last night. The performance is already having a noble and healing effect on our somewhat fractured political discourse. Why, this morning, as I was walking to work, 3 different women, approaching me, made an effort to grab their crotch in a salutary fashion that I interpreted as them saying “have a good day, kind Sir.” I smiled, turned around and shook my ass at them as if to say ” why thank you my lady, and to you!”

I take immense comfort and pride in the fact that America “showed up” last night. We illustrated to the world the indomitable spirit of what a free people can do to change the course of history. I have never been prouder to be an American. This TWERK (above) is for you my friends!
