Dr. Carter was a gentleman of the first order. Kind, gracious, humble, engaging, but extremely accomplished in everything he did. A lot of the old bulls are passing away. They serve as models for lives well lived, incredible achievement and Christian discipleship. I am awed by Dr. Carter’s Obit  and the story of how he lived his life. Whenever I ran into him, he always stopped and chatted and could not have been more gracious.  Fond memories of a really nice guy who raised a great family.
