Only Members of the Political Class Could Be Blind to What Went Wrong

“ I don’t understand what went wrong.” This is the refrain I have heard the past two days from journalists and other establishment elites concerning the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.  I am here to tell you what went wrong and why this happened.

Donald Trump was a businessman and a complete product of the private sector. When he approached a problem, his approach was 100% devoted to fixing the problem. When career Washington insiders approach a problem, it has nothing to do with actually fixing the problem, it all has to do with making it appear that they fixed the problem. See the “Paris Agreement” on climate change. Now go to Wikipedia, and look up all of Joe Biden’s cabinet officers and high level appointees. Then click on “Early Life and Education.” Virtually all of these people have never done anything in their lives but work for government. A few were lawyers in private practice for a few years or academics.  Thus, these high level appointments all come out of the absolute most useless segment of the American population. My bet is that none of these folks have ever changed a tire. None could possibly manage a simple construction project. None have ever had to meet a payroll. These people think writing a white paper to a committee of academics lifts the downtrodden out of their misery and spreads sunshine and happiness to the little people. In all my interactions with all sorts of different people in many different disciplines and professions, I can say categorically, our professional political class is the most useless of any on earth. At the end of the Battle of Britain, Churchill said “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” Your author says “Never in the field of human conceit was there ever a class that thought so much of themselves while being so feckless and worthless.”

To prove how utterly useless these people are, here are a few of the things they believe. They actually believe this stuff:

That there are more than two genders.

That men have menstrual cycles.

That socialism, the kid brother of Communism, which led to the murder of 100 millions souls in the 20th century, is awesome.

That your 11 year old daughter has a right to receive a taxpayer provided sex change and that you have no say in the matter.

That forest fires in California, hurricanes in the south, snow storms in the Midwest are all a result of “climate change” because of course none of these things ever happened until the term “climate change” was created in 2004.

That crime can be reduced by rewarding criminals and punishing the law abiding.

That destroying millions of businesses was an effective way to stop a virus from spreading and preventing people from getting sick.

That passing a bill allowing the abortion of a full term baby during delivery is really cool and hip and worthy of lighting up the World Trade Center in pink hues to celebrate.

That corrupt foreign countries and overseas oligarchs giving millions of dollars to “paper companies” owned by Biden family members has nothing to do corruption.

That gun control cities like Chicago where hundreds of people get shot every month is proof positive that taking guns away from law abiding citizens reduces crime.

That a virus does not spread at a Walmart or Target,  but is deadly at a women’s boutique or Church.

I could go on for several hundred pages, but the Government Employee/ Lawyer/Academic Axis is the greatest threat to the free world since the Axis Powers of the 1940s. This week, I read an article where a prestigious Ivy League University did a study and was shocked to find out that people with generous unemployment benefits are much slower to get back into the work force. The authors stated that they could not figure out why that was. Gee, I wonder, what a head scratcher!

Sometimes there is a simple and direct answer to a complex question. Historians will debate for decades to come what went wrong in Afghanistan. One of my buds can’t get over an old girlfriend. He constantly revisits the history of the relationship and wonders why she acted the way she did and if the romance  can be restored. My answer, “no she’s crazy, you can’t fix crazy. Discussion over.”

Likewise, the answer to the recent Afghanistan debacle does not need much analysis.  The current
