THE MEDIA JUST BURNED DOWN MINNEAPOLIS

media burns down MinneapolisI am so tired of the so called  “media” sensationalizing race issues and fanning the flames of racial division. The story is always the same;  “black guy” killed by white police officers. A short video is played on the news. The media then fabricates the narrative they want portrayed. The dead black guy was recently canonized by the church; he was an honest to God saint, everybody in the neighborhood loved him. He was a “gentle giant.”  This type of thing happens 100 times a day all across America. Blah, blah, blah, and it is always a lie.

The next step is rioting and looting stores. Police cars are destroyed, buildings are aflame. Entire neighborhoods are destroyed. No politician has the guts to say the obvious. How come the black community loots stores and commits thousands of crimes when one of their members may have been mistreated by a white cop, but doesn’t seem to care in the least when black people kill and maim each other by the scores every single night?

The liberal mayors of the big cities then just let their cities burn because they don’t want to appear racist.

The media throws gas on this fire, but inevitably, we learn more about the “victim.” These facts are known at the outset of the incident, but the media supresses the narrative. Michael Brown, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner; there is always a back story of a violent criminal past. They are not such nice fellows. The police arrested them because they had commited a crime, and they got hurt because they resisted arrest. Of course all of this information slowly ooozes out after cities and neighborhoods are burned to the ground.

I don’t know all the details of George Floyd’s death.  However, he was an ex con, had a violent criminal past and had just been arrested for passing counterfeit $20 bills. Almost everyone across political spectrums say he was murdured. However, I am smarter than everyone else, and  I’ve seen this movie 100 times. There is always more to the story in these situations. What will the autopsy show, did he have drugs in his system, how much force was actually being applied by the officer?  These factors may  not totally exonerate the officer, but will certainly make these issues more “gray.” I will reserve judgment until all the facts are in.

No one dislikes, indeed loathes abusive representatives of the state more than I do. The police are the brute force of  government. They are the muscle meant to protect the government’s interests. In most countries in the world, they are corrupt and oppressive. In this country, we have to be careful to restrain this awesome power of the state towards helping citizens and resist police officers  being a political tool of a corrupt  government. However, we must also recognize the realities of what police do and the absolute necessity of apprehending criminals and keeping societal order. It’s a hard job filled with gray areas…..

For example, I ran down and caught a bad guy once. He robbed my house. After a long chase, the perp was tackled and I held him down until the police came. During much of the chase and when he first hit the ground, I was so filled with rage, my adrenaline was so hyped up, I was ready to kill the guy. I could have held him on the ground and beat the snot out of him. For a second, I wanted to.  However, as soon as I had him under my control, all of my rage subsided, and I didn’t want to punch him. Suddenly, I saw one of God’s creatures staring at me. The hate dissipated like morning fog in the first traces of sunlight. I have thought many times about that incident. To me, it was a profound confirmation of my Christian faith. However, I also know how close I was to smashing the guy’s face in with repeated blows, knowing that there would be no repercussions for my actions.  It might have been different had he given me lip or had continued to struggle. It made me realize what a difficult job a police officer has in arresting a bad guy.

I speak the truth on Rob Is Right. What I say above is the truth. One is not a racist for being truthful, as the only way to solve any problem is from a foundation of truth and accuracy. Liberal policies have destroyed black communities.  Indeed, I am the anti-racist because by speaking the truth, I want to help my black brothers and sisters in Christ. I love them. The liberal media and the race hustlers are hurting black people by fanning flames of hatred and victimhood. They do this for political reasons; they profess to care about the black community, but they obviously don’t.  Cities burn, but their ratings go up, and they live high on the hog in New York penthouses. It is disgusting what they do.
