I’m a fan of Lord Nelson. You might say, why Big Rob? I’ll tell you why. He was bad ass. He always went right after em. At 12 years old, he went aboard ship as a lowly seaman. By the time he was 20, he was a Captain. The Battle of Trafalgar was one of the pivotal moments of modern history. Through a daring move, Nelson “crossed the T” and decimated the French Fleet. By the way, he had already lost an eye and an arm in service to His Majesty. Now, you might say, well Big Rob, he was a Limey, so what? Well, despite our unpleasantness w the Brits in 1775, we inherited all of our laws, institutions, customs and monetary systems from them, all of the things that were the foundation of America’s greatness. But more importantly, what would’ve happened had the Brits lost and the Corsican Tyrant invaded Britain? Napolean was a murderous egomaniac, selling a false ideology, and if England’s bright light had’ve been extinquished, the world, including the United States, would have been much different, and not for the better.
