As you can see from the video, the so called “Corona-virus crisis” is changing our daily lives and forcing us to explore new ways to do things. One of the things I hope it does is change our education system. There is no bigger rip off in America today than higher education. At one time there was a dearth of books and people with specific knowledge, so these resources were concentrated in one place, a college or university. The University of North Carolina has a dorm named after Hinton James who walked to Chapel Hill from Wilmington to attend school. Now, no one even has to walk out of their house. All of the resources to learn is a “screen” away.

The current “educrat system” is designed to protect the establishment at the expense of students. Like a medieval guild, the education establishment says “you have to learn what we tell you” and you won’t be able to get a job unless we give you a piece of paper that says you are “fit.” The consumer is not in control. This sink pool of elitism is bolstered by the federal government. Hello, we are from the government and are here to help! Since Jimmy Carter created the worthless Department of Education, college tuition has skyrocketed a “bijillion” percent, and most college graduates can’t get through a simple sentence without saying “like” six times.

There is a difference between being “learned” and being educated. Going to school makes you educated, it does not mean you are learned. The simple way to become learned is to read books and talk to smart people. This is a life long discipline.
